In Hangzhou, Chanel's Métiers d'Art 2024/25 collection is on display.


The french luxury fashion house chanel unveiled its latest métiers d'art collection of embroidery, jewelry, and accessories by the iconic west lake in hangzhou, china's capital.


Following the shanghai show in 2009, chanel has unveiled its métiers d'art collection in china for the first time in 15 years, following the shanghai show in 2009. the maison's chinese elements appear in the artisan-made clothing and accessories from time to time, including founder gabrielle chanel's collection which depicts the iconic ten scenes of west lake and was on display at the designer's exhibition.


With a promotional video directed by wim wenders and features chanel's global brand ambassadors, british actress tilda swinton, chinese actress xin zhilei, and chinese singer-songwriter leah dou, the true star of the film was the chinese singer-songwriter leah dou.

The video quickly ranked #91 million views on weibo, china's twitter-like website, earning the number 11 and "wang yibo" (##) on weibo's hot search list.


The hangzhou chanel show, as expected, at number 19 ranked at number 19, with celebrities from around the world, especially in asia.


Before this debut in hangzhou, chanel held an , a tribute show in hong kong, where all the usual photogenic stars are made to look less than attractive.


With so much investment being put into the chinese market, it's worth watching how the brand plans to leverage the chinese market in 2025..
